Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Thought I'd make a thread for those of us who were planning on playing the new Final Fantasy XIV and want a place to meet up and discuss things.

I'm currently on the last step of the character creation process, trying to choose a server. I have a Miqo'te Conjurer ready to go, but Hyperion's full, so I don't know what to do...

Looks fun, I want to play it, but severely lacking in time to get into another MMO (I don't handle mmo's well. I spent soooo much time on the likes of WoW it's crazy, lol). Curious what you and others think though as you play it.

Canis - please do let me know which server you wind up on. When I go and grab a copy I'll be sure to join you.

I ended up on Diablos. I recommend waiting a while, though. Servers are swamped right now, and it's not even launch day...

As interested as I am in the series, this is one of the reasons I will probably wait a time before potentially diving in. I imagine that there will be a lot of sluggishness early on as they try to meet the player demand

I ended up in Moogle.

So I'm gonna dig this ooooooooooold post, because this game is on sale on PS3 right now, and it upgrades to PS4 for free, so I picked it up last week and am on the Leviathan server. My son's playing the snot out of this one too - he's around level 19 already. Can't recall which server he is on, but I can find out if anyone's interested. Anyone still giving this game a go?
