Anybody Here Read Any Comics?

By comics, I mean any sort of comic - strips, political cartoons, comic books, graphic novels, webcomics, etc.

I mostly just read some webcomics and the Sunday paper, but I'm trying to take more of an interest in comics in general.

As far as webcomics go, I read:

VG Cats
Penny Arcade
8-Bit Theater
Super Effective

And occasionally read:

Brawl in the Family
Boxer Hockey
DMFA
Original Life
Better Days

I also have a very long list of webcomics to try...

I have read others, but most of them I didn't like. The ones that I can still remember by name:

Everything on SNAFU Comics
Just Another Webcomic
Las Lindas
MegaTokyo
Ctrl+Alt+Del

I will say that JAWC started out good before it went really weird, and I still respect it as the first webcomic I ever read. The rest of those 5 are terrible, though...IMO...

I used to be a big fan of the Order of the Stick series, but just haven't had the time to keep up.

On my iPad I have quite a few comics, because they're both cheap and convenient in that format. I've got a dozen or so Moon Knight comics (man he needs a movie of his own), and I love the old Donald Duck comics, so I have the Disney comics app for that.

Other than that not much really. I had some stuff on the PSP comics app (awesome and sadly deceased ), but that was mostly manga again.

Oh yeah, I remember you recommending me that. It's on my list of ones to try still...

It kinda sucks when you can't keep up with a comic you like. I mean, I only read those first 4 comics every few months, but the rest I barely get around to reading more than omce a year. In DMFA I've fallen so desperately behind that I have no hope of ever catching up...which sucks, since it's actually story-oriented...

EDIT: Just checked...Original Life is up to 440. Last I left off I was still on, like, 80...

With Order of the Stick it was easy to keep up to a point - I just bought the books, which had all the strips in it. But then they stopped making print copies, I think :-(

Yeah, I know what you mean. Unless they're really successful, like Penny Arcade, they don't usually do print copies for very long.

On the Comic Book side of things, I have a whole collection of Deadpool comics now. And I'm getting nostalgic for the Sonic comics, which I heard got a semi-reboot recently-ish, so I might check those out soon. Maybe pick up a Transformers comicbook, too. Gotta read my Mega Man comic book before I read anything else, though.

Of the more traditional comics, Moon Knight is my favourite. He's like what Batman would be if Batman was an anti-hero.

I think I would enjoy Deadpool too. I'll have to get around to reading some of those comics at some stage.
