EA is hosting a humble bundle on its Origin website. After notcing this today, there are a lot of triple A games to purchase and as great as that may be, that's not the point of this topic.



The purpose of this new deal is to raise money for five different charities. You get to decide which charity you want to support. Charities such as the Human Rights Campaign, Watsi, San Francisco Aids Foundation, American Cancer Society and the American Red Cross are all available for choice. This is non-profitable for EA as the entire $2,235,605.41 (which is as of now as you can see above), is going directly to the companies.

This is a great move by EA. I'm completely stunned, shocked, overwhelmed, etc. by such a bold campaign. If only more video game companies did the same.

It's also the only video game publisher out there that is actively out there fighting for gay rights.

I liked this post - and the subsequent article on DD. I do not understand how EA can be the worst company in America - by any standard. It's a completely irrational, short-sited 'award' that they keep getting. Are they perfect? No, hardly, but they're not exactly slumlords either.
