So? Who's gonna do it!

I got my chips on Marvelous, Level 5 or one of the anime studios which Atlus is heavily indebted to. I wouldn't be too fussed though, none of the big players at the moment look like they will mess up Atlus in the slightest. It would make the most sense to buy them out and let them continue business as usual imo

On a serious note (so totally not Bobby Kotick, though that would amuse me no end), I do have chips down on either Marvelous or Level 5. Given Sega's bid, it might be a bit beyond Marvelous, so I'm leaning towards Level 5 being my prime candidate.
I seriously doubt whoever does acquire Atlus at that price have any plans to do anything with the company other than tell them "keep up the good work, boys and girls!"

Having heard Sega threw their hat in the ring, I think they make a good deal of sense at this point. Level 5 might work out too.

I agree with Chalgyr. Sega would probably pick them up. I'd like to be wrong, but...

I really don't have a problem with Sega winning them if that comes to pass. At least it is someone who plays with all of the different consoles - it's not like if Sony or Nintendo nabbed them, and suddenly restricted Altus on which platforms it could release for. Plus, Sega's had some good collaboration with others recently (Project X Zone immediately comes to mind), so I think that could work.

I really hope someone like Ark System Works buys them. I just want to be able to play Persona 5 on my Vita.

Come on Namco Bandai.
Sega could ruin the opportunity if its history is anything to go by.

I do love that idea right there. But then I'm holding out hope for an HD remake of Persona's 1-3.

I know, that's why I'd prefer Namco getting them, too, instead of Sega. Not sure who has more money to spend, though...

Namco was the biggest games publisher in Japan for a while - bigger than Nintendo. From memory it's probably the one in the most robust financial position (aside from Tecmo Koei).
I really want it to be Tecmo Koei. It's the best publisher of all. I just don't see Atlus fitting TK's market strategy. Not now it has Gust.
But Persona Warriors. Oh man I would die for that game.

Okay, I have to admit - that sounds awesome.MattS wrote:But Persona Warriors. Oh man I would die for that game.
