Super Smash Bros. 4 Empty Super Smash Bros. 4

Anyone else hyped for this one? I'm glad that Mega Man finally made his way in and impressed at the lengths they've gone through to give him such a diverse move set. Wii Fit Trainer and the Animal Crossing villager don't look too bad either.

What characters are you looking forward to? I'd like to see Chrom for Fire Emblem, perhaps with Marth reworked to be Lucina. Maybe even a magic user female avatar to really shake things up.

I don't usually get too worked up about the characters - generally my favorites (Samus) are there - but I suspect we'll be seeing this on 3DS at the very least. My son's super excited and already saving up his pennies for it.

I think they're missing an opportunity for some crossover characters. Square Enix and Nintendo characters always, always crossover well, and I genuinely think that Chocobo from Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon, and perhaps a Moogle, would have been just perfect for Smash Bros.

But good to see Mega Man in there. I'm not a fan of the series, but I know a lot of people are.

As for the game itself, I didn't much like what I saw in the 3DS version (it looks... cheap), but the console game will be a day one purchase for me - I think between the three existing games I have played them for in excess of 1000 hours in multiplayer. Nothing else is as much fun with beer as Smash Bros.

I just want to beat up the wii fit person. My yoga is 10/10, and I resent the implication it wasn't impeccable.

I miss the days of 24 hours smash brothers marathons....

You totally stole my joke.

I have core strength that would make Arnie bow in awe. And yet Wii Fit gave me 4/5 stars.

Oh I can't wait to troll "Pikachu" to that trainer's expense.

Possibly stolen joke, but its message is universal. Her insults burn deep. My pillow gets soaked nightly from my anguished tears :p

Jigglypuff's rest will ironically kill the ego-sapping monster!

Pokemon unite and all that.

I'm still disappointed that Chocobo isn't in with a kick attack to rival FALCOOOOON PUUUUUUNCH.

I've never been more hyped for a game. Especially after the unveil of the Chapter 11 stage from KIU. But all around it looks great.

Who are you all hoping makes it in? Right now I'm hoping for:

Chrom
Magnus
Viridi
Hades
Ghirahim
Dillon
Some other surprise character no one saw coming.

What about all of you?

I'm still disappointed that Square Enix isn't lending Nintendo some of its characters. Chocobo would be perfect for Smash Bros.

In terms of Nintendo characters - I'd love to see some of the characters from Nintendo's published games, even if they're not Nintendo-developed games.

Dream characters:

Aeron from Pandora's Tower
Mio/ Mayu from Fatal Frame 2
Airou from Monster Hunter Tri
Slime from Dragon Quest IX
Nobunaga Oda from Samurai Warriors 3

I'm a little disappointed to hear there won't be as many characters in this game as Brawl. It means that some favourites are likely to go, and we won't get the characters we're dreaming for. I think it was a mistake building a 3DS version of the game, rather than a separate 3DS Smash Bros game.

My son said the exact same thing the other day, actually - and he's coming from the stance of a 3DS only owner. He thought it was a shame the Wii U had to 'suffer' to reach parity with the 3DS, even though he is incredibly excited about the game.

So, a certain blue hedgehog is returning to the fray. I may or may not be ecstatic.
Super Smash Bros. 4 Screen-3

That said, is it confirmed there are fewer characters than Brawl? I've read that they are aiming for a "similar" - not anything that concrete. The somewhat superfluous Toon Link staying in with a similar moveset makes me wonder if most of Brawl's roster will be staying minus the least used ones or ones that can be reconfigured. Something in the low 40s compared to Brawl's 35/39 could make most people content, I think. If not, there's always DLC since Nintendo seems to be experimenting with that lately.

It was confirmed that there would be fewer characters in the game, because of limitations for the 3DS version (silly reason. Should have just dropped the 3DS version).

I suspect we'll lose some of the Pokemon and less popular characters from the last game - Wario and Ike or something.

I'm still bitter that Chocobo didn't make the cut.

So long as I get to have my two blues in my Smash game, I'm totally fine.
