Anyone pick up the new Zelda?
I haven't had much time for my 3DS (I blame all those shiny new consoles), but I still have my $30 credit from buying Fire Emblem and Shin Megami this year, and have been at least pondering grabbing the new Zelda. Curious what others think at this point?

Yes and oh boy is it great. I wasn't even the biggest fan of A Link to the Past but I appreciate what they've done to the overall game design, shying away from the gimmicks and making the world far less linear. This is the first Zelda where you can choose to tackle any of the seven main dungeons in whatever order you please, which should certainly keep things fresh in later playthroughs. I'm also digging the attempt to add difficulty - I actually died a few times, unlike in 75% of the other games. There's a ton of finer details that make the game really stand out.
I suppose my opinion could change over time as the hype fades (it certainly did with Skyward Sword) but as of right now it's one of the best in the series and that's saying quite a bit.

Nice - good to hear, Midori. Glad you're enjoying it - it looks really good.

I did, but I won't play it until Christmas. Tradition and all that.

Based on my review... yeah I liked it too. And I HATE what Zelda's become. From after Majora's Mask I quite genuinely have not liked a Zelda game in any capacity.... and then this one came along. Wowzers.
